ABOUT THE JOB: 
Open to Philippine residents ONLY! 

One of our US-based clients is looking to hire a Home Health Scheduler to manage, maintain, and update schedules of US-based medical/healthcare providers going around to each patient's home. 

RESPONSIBILITIES
A Medical Biller ensures timely and accurate reimbursement for medical services rendered. They work closely with insurance companies, patients, and medical practices to process and submit claims, resolve billing issues, and maximize revenue.

Basic tasks to expect:

  • Account management
  • Billing inquiries
  • Claims processing
  • Denial Management
  • Financial Reports
  • Payment Posting
  • Insurance Verification
  • Revenue Cycle management
  • Minimal call handling

*Final tasks and KPIs are going to be discussed by the client during the final interview*
 

REQUIREMENTS

Medical Knowledge and Experience:

  • Understanding of US healthcare terminology: At least 1 year of experience as an end-to-end Medical Biller for a US-based provider/facility remotely or with a BPO company handling US Medical billing accounts is required with knowledge of US healthcare procedures, terminologies, and diagnoses
  • Strong knowledge of US Healthcare Insurance:Understanding of different types of health insurance plans (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance) and their billing rules
  • Knowledge of Medical Codes: Basic knowledge of CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) and ICD (International Classification of Diseases) codes for medical procedures and diagnoses.
  • HIPAA compliance: Adherence to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) to protect patient privacy.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships.
  • Attention to detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and avoid errors.
  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Time management skills: Effective time management to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Medical Billing Software: Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), billing software, payor portals, insurance portals
  • Strong computer skills: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, email, calls, and video conferencing tools.
  • Internet access: Two (2) main and backup reliable and high-speed internet connection is required
  • Excellent typing skills: Accurate and fast typing for data entry and claims submissions
  • Readily available working equipment: you must provide your work-from-home tools which should meet the minimum Technical Requirements

Other Important Requirements:

  • Willingness to go through virtual interviews, and assessments, and actively participate in a Virtual Free 5-day Client Preparatory Training
  • Full-time availability during Graveyard Shift (40 hours a week)
  • Availability to work 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Friday (US Time).
